New Report Reveals Kelly Ayotte's Ties to "Controversial Project 2025 Agenda"

A new report from The American Independent reveals that Republican candidate for governor Kelly Ayotte paid Donald Trump's press secretary Karoline Leavitt "$12,200 in consulting fees between September and November 2023," at the same time as Leavitt was also actively promoting Trump's dangerous and extreme Project 2025 agenda.

As The American Independent reports, "while Leavitt was working for Ayotte, the Heritage Foundation posted a video to YouTube promoting a program to train aspiring Trump political appointees on how to execute Project 2025. Levitt is featured in the video alongside Trump adviser Stephen Miller."

Ayotte's embrace of Leavitt, with her clear connection to Project 2025, is the latest example of how Ayotte will try anything to win over the MAGA base she lost in 2016 after rescinding her endorsement of Trump, who remains deeply suspicious of her candidacy. Despite once claiming she "cannot vote for Donald Trump" after he was caught "talking about assault" in 2016, Ayotte has once again endorsed the former president, as well as his dangerous and extreme running mate, Senator JD Vance, despite both of their lengthy and dangerous records attacking women and reproductive rights.

"This new report reveals that behind closed doors, Kelly Ayotte is working arm in arm with the dangerous extremists that want to enact the unpopular MAGA Project 2025 agenda that calls for a national abortion ban and dismantling public education," said DGA States Press Secretary Emma O'Brien. "Ayotte has made clear she will do whatever it takes to advance her political career - including embracing some of the furthest far-right members of her party and their extreme agendas. Granite Staters know they can't trust her."
