New Audit Follow Up Released Payroll Administration

Internal Audit has released a new follow-up report covering operational changes made in response to the Audit of Payroll Administration (PDF).

Finance has established a process to ensure payroll payments are processed by two different employees, and documentation of required comments for timecard adjustments appears to have improved with the development of a standard operating procedure. Further, Finance has developed formal procedures to regularly review timecard changes made with administrative access. Human Resources has established a process to enhance the verification process of employee changes made within the financial system. Additionally, the majority of employee pay rates are currently rounded to two decimal places.
