An online questionnaire addressed to all residents of the municipalities on the Island of Elba, offering them the opportunity to share their experiences of life in the area, in a user-friendly and direct format, is the new activity 'in the field' within Spoke 10 of the 'Tuscany Health Ecosystem' ('THE') project, financed with funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and coordinated by the Sant'Anna School. The online questionnaire marks the continuation of the project's activities on the Island of Elba, following the activation of cardiovascular screening for juvenile sudden death in high schools.

The online questionnaire, simpleto fill out, is the tool to collect citizens' opinions on crucial topics such as quality of life, social and health services, infrastructure andtransport, Internet connectivity, and services offered by third sector associations. 'This tool represents an important opportunity for listening and shared construction of the future of local communities. The contribution of as many citizens as possible is therefore essential,' the research team of the Sant'Anna School emphasises.

To encourage participation, an information campaign will be launched in collaboration with the associated management of tourism services Visitelba, involving the administrations of the seven municipalities of Elba, the AziendaASL Toscana nord ovest and third sector institutions. Dedicated events on the Elban territory and the diffusion of the invitation to participate through social networks will be the main tools used to involve citizens and invite them to answer the online questionnaire.

The research team of the Sant'Anna School also emphasises that the Population Observatory will use the data collected through the online questionnaire in an anonymous way, in order to obtain a detailed overview not only of the needs, but also of the resources of the community of Tuscany's inland areas. 'Through the citizens' answers ,' the researchers explain, 'it will be possible to identify both the strengths and the critical points of the services, as well as to identify the local resources to be valorised in order to promote initiatives aimed at improving the population's health and well-being.

Citizenparticipation is crucial for the success of the planning phase of future interventions. Participating does not only mean expressing one's own needs, but also contributing to the finalised 'Tuscany Health Ecosystem' ('THE') project which, among its objectives, includes improving the quality of life of those who choose to live on the Island of Elba.
