BISMARCK, N.D. - U.S. News & World Report's Best Hospitals for 2024-2025 ranked Sanford Medical Center Bismarck the No. 2 hospital in North Dakota.

The annual U.S. News & World Report rankings are published to help patients decide where to receive care. U.S. News evaluates data on nearly 5,000 hospitals in 15 adult specialties and 21 adult procedures and conditions.

Sanford Medical Center Bismarck received high-performing rankings in adult specialty areas, including cardiology and vascular surgery. Sanford Medical Center Bismarck ranks as one of the top in the nation when comparing those specialty services with health care systems across the country.

Sanford Medical Center Bismarck also rated high-performing in seven procedures and conditions, including colon cancer surgery, stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, aortic aneurysm repair, heart attack, and heart failure.
