Western Intake Partnership Hosts Community Open House for Jordan Lake Water Supply Project

Durham, NC (August 27, 2024) - The Western Intake Partnership (WIP) will host a community open house for the Jordan Lake Water Supply Project on September 10, 2024, at the Chatham Community Library in Pittsboro.

To support the continuous growth of the Triangle region, we secured a long-term water supply for customers of the City of Durham, Town of Pittsboro, Chatham County, and the Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA) by providing access to their existing allocations of water from Jordan Lake. This project will provide access to the lake's water supply, while protecting its other uses and natural resources - all to benefit our community. It will include the construction of a Water Intake and Treatment Facility on Jordan Lake, Booster Pumping Stations and Drinking Water Supply Pipelines to deliver high quality drinking water to the region.

At the meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to review project plan updates, view the finalized route, learn of future construction impacts, speak with members of the project team, and provide comments. You can drop in any time for your convenience.

6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
