Groundbreaking of Park Centre

Park City, Kansas (August 8, 2024) - The eagerly awaited Park Centre development in Park City is set to break ground on August 9, 2024, marking a pivotal moment in creating this dynamic mixed-use downtown area.

Park Centre, developed by Lange Real Estate in collaboration with the City of Park City, is a sprawling 48-acre mixed-use development located near the southeast corner of 61st Street and Hydraulic Avenue. This project is designed to bring a much-needed downtown area to the heart of Park City, Kansas.

Called Park Centre for its central location in Park City and for its central park that will double as a flexible farm and art market, this sprawling new development was designed to create a downtown district at the intersection of 61st and Hydraulic that attracts both new residents and shoppers.

Event Details:

  • Date: August 9, 2024

  • Time: 9:00 AM

  • Location: Development site off I-135 off of Hydraulic Ave and 61st St in Park City, East of City Hall

  • Hosted by: Lange Real Estate and the City of Park City

The groundbreaking ceremony will feature remarks from key stakeholders, a ceremonial first dig, and an overview of the development plans. Members of the media and public are invited to attend and celebrate this significant step forward for Park City.

Park Centre Development Highlights:

  • Central Park: A circular-shaped central park will serve as the focal point of the development, doubling as a farm and art market.

  • Residential Complexes: The development will include a 416-unit apartment complex with eight separate buildings, a pool, an amenity deck, and a clubhouse. Additionally, an 89-unit townhome complex will be available.

  • Commercial Space: With 96,000 square feet of commercial space available for lease, the development will offer opportunities for retail shops, restaurants, medical offices, and other services.

  • Economic Impact: With recent economic development wins in the area, an additional 800 people now work in close proximity to Park Centre, creating a demand for new housing and shopping.

"The Wichita metro area continues to grow in all directions, and we've especially seen that with Park City, which welcomed a million-square-foot Amazon distribution center last year," says Mayor John Lehnherr. "That kind of growth brings jobs and opportunity, but it also creates demand for new housing and shopping options like Park Centre."

"Park Centre is a significant step in the continued growth of Park City," said Rachel Lange-Mills with Lange Real Estate. "This groundbreaking ceremony marks the start of a project that will enhance the community, offering residents and visitors a vibrant downtown area where they can live, shop, and gather together."
