Investigation into Female's Death at 8435 Tidwell Road

July 16, 2024- Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a female found at 8435 Tidwell Road about 2:55 p.m. on Monday (July 15).

The identity and cause of death of the female, 63, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Patterson and N. Henderson reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a deceased person at the above address and found the female unresponsive and covered by multiple blankets. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene.

Investigators learned that a witness went to the location to check on the female and upon arrival found her unresponsive. There were no immediate signs of trauma and it is unknown what caused her death. The investigation is pending the female's cause of death, to be determined by an autopsy.
