Tenaya Way Road Improvements From Washington Avenue
To Lake Mead Boulevard Continue Nov. 4-8

Tenaya Restricted To One Through Lane In Each Direction

Tenaya Way between Washington Avenue and Lake Mead Boulevard will be restricted to one through lane in each direction starting Monday, Nov. 4, and continuing through Friday, Nov. 8, 2024, for median island installation. Work activities will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, but lane restrictions will remain in place 24 hours/day until the project is completed.

Motorists should expect delays. Buffalo Drive or Rainbow Boulevard are recommended as alternate routes for north- and southbound traffic.

Preliminary work was completed consisting of improvements to the sidewalk areas to meet federal requirements for the Americans with Disabilities Act, including the reconstruction of concrete cross gutter, curb and gutter, as well as repaving, installation of traffic signal loop detectors, raising of utilities and the installation of delineation.

Las Vegas Paving is the contractor. The city of Las Vegas is managing the project. The estimated cost of the work is $1.6 million, provided by the Federal Highway Administration and matched with Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax funds. Those with questions or concerns during the work may call 702.353.4294.
