Investigation Update: Suspect Arrested Following Shots Fired Incident in Dorchester

Investigation Update: At about 7:55 PM, on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested Terrence Wilkins, 34, of Quincy. At the time of his arrest, the suspect was wanted on a warrant issued out of Dorchester District Court for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling, and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court. The suspect's home and vehicle were secured pending search warrants.

The facts and circumstances surrounding the prior incident are as follows: At about 6:53 PM, on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to the area of 32 Vaughan Avenue for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers observed ballistic damage to a motor vehicle and recovered ballistic evidence on scene.
