Weekend Lane Closures on SR 400 at Sidney Marcus for Bridge Rehab
Expect Traffic Delays
ATLANTA METRO -Contractors for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will install lane closures on three State Route 400 (SR 400) overpasses in Fulton County this weekend as crews continue a project to perform bridge preservation activities.
Weather and on-site conditions permitting, lane closures will be installed on SR 400 in proximity of the overpasses at SR 13/Buford Highway Connector, I-85 and Sidney Marcus Boulevard beginning 9 p.m. on Friday, August 2 until 6 a.m. on Monday. As crews complete work at one location, they will move the closures to the next location.

These closures will help ensure safety of work crews and drivers as crews perform maintenance and preservation activities to the bridge structure, including co-polymer overlay and joint replacements.

This $1.9 million project is scheduled for completion fall 2024.

Message boards will give drivers advance notice of the upcoming traffic pacing and lane closures. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use signed detours, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app.
