Geisinger hosting PA Health Talk on prostate health

Wilkes-Barre, Pa. -
In recognition of prostate cancer awareness month, join Geisinger urologists Matthew Meissner, M.D., and John Ramey, M.D., and Geisinger radiation oncologist Julie Jiang, M.D., Ph.D., as they discuss prostate health during a PA Health Talk.

The discussion will be in person and virtual, and will be held on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the fourth-floor conference room of the Henry Cancer Center at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center at 1000 East Mountain Drive in Wilkes-Barre.

Prostate cancer is relatively common, especially in men over age 50, and treatment options vary based on the stage and aggressiveness of the cancer.

Drs. Meissner, Ramey and Jiang will discuss topics related to prostate health, including keeping the prostate healthy, surgery and treatment if cancer is diagnosed, and other urological services offered at Geisinger. There will also be time for questions, and attendees can submit them ahead of time to be read anonymously.

Register at geisinger.org/prostatetalk. In-person space is limited.
