UW and Wyoming SBDC Network to Host Artificial Intelligence Products Webinar Nov. 20

Small-business owners may be familiar with ChatGPT but will have the opportunity to learn about other generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools Wednesday, Nov. 20.

Mary Keane and Brook Malone will lead a Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network webinar titled "AI Products Roundup: Choosing the Right Tool For the Job" from noon-12:30 p.m. To register, go here.

The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The webinar will cover what these AI tools do with a company's data; how their terms and conditions affect buinesses; and just how safe and effective various AI tools are to use. During the webinar, the speakers will not recommend any products. Instead, they will simply present their research findings to help small-business owners make more informed decisions when selecting products to use in their businesses.

Keane brings over 30 years of experience in software engineering and is currently a cybersecurity business counselor at CyberWyoming. With a strong foundation in applications engineering and cybersecurity, she has dedicated her career to helping micro and small businesses in Wyoming improve their cybersecurity posture.

Malone has worked in cybersecurity for three years, working with clients to include their cybersecurity. She is program coordinator at CyberWyoming, working with schools, students and teachers on the LEGO attack and defense models, Teens Exploring Career Camp and other educational programs.
