Bridge Replacement Begins Continues on Dreisbach Church Road in Buffalo Township, Union County

Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised that a bridge replacement project continues on Route 2003 (Dreisbach Church Road) in Buffalo Township, Union County.

Starting on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, the contractor, Nestlerode Contracting Company, will delivering and setting the box culvert on Dreisbach Church Road.

Traffic Impacts

• Motorists traveling on Route 45 can expect slow or stopped traffic in both directions between Young Road and Johnson Mill Road (Route 1001), while the trucks deliver the sections of the box culvert. Traffic will be controlled by flagging.
  

• Dreisbach Church Road remains closed between Route 45 and Pheasant Ridge Road.​
  

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution. ​

Work on this project includes removal of the existing metal pipe culvert bridge spanning Beaver Run. Additional work includes the installation of a new precast concrete box culvert, restoring asphalt roadway section, and guide rail installation.
