Robbery – Arrests: C24-263869

On November 10, 2024, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Central General Patrol officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 500 block of Main Street.

Upon arrival, officers located a 62-year-old female victim being assisted by a passer-by. The victim sustained minor injuries to her upper body but did not require medical attention.

Through investigation, it was learned that four female youth suspects had approached the victim who was sitting on a bench. Without provocation, the suspects attempted to steal the victim's cell phone and when unsuccessful, threw the victim to the ground and physically assaulted her. The four suspects fled but returned a short time later and continued to assault the victim before fleeing the area with some of the victim's property prior to police arrival.

Officers located the four suspects nearby where they were subsequently arrested without incident. The victim and suspects are not previously known to one another.

A 17-year-old female youth from Winnipeg is facing the following charges:

  • Robbery
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking x 2
  • Warrant - (Fail to Attend Court)

She was detained in custody.

A 14-year-old female youth and two 16-year-old female youths, all from Winnipeg are facing one charge of Robbery.

All three were released on Undertakings as mandated by the Criminal Code.
