Commercial Break and Enter – Arrests: C24-264021

On November 10, 2024, at approximately 11:00 p.m., West District General Patrol officers responded to a report of a commercial break and enter in the 2400 block of Portage Avenue.

Officers attended and learned from property security that the suspects had breached the secured fence and accessed the vacant building. The suspects fled on foot prior to police arrival. No damage to the building was observed and officers determined that no property was stolen.

With the assistance of the Canine Unit (K9), officers located and arrested two adult suspects in the 2400 block of Assiniboine Crescent.

A 20-year-old female from Winnipeg is facing charges of Break and Enter with Intent - Place and Possession of Break-in Instrument(s).

A 38-year-old male from Winnipeg is facing a charge of Break and Enter with Intent - Place.

They were both detained in police custody awaiting disposition.
