East Fifth Street Homicide Investigation

The Lexington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on E. Fifth Street.

On Saturday, October 19, 2024, around 10:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 400 block of East Fifth Street for a shooting with a victim. When they arrived, they located a victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The Fayette County Coroner's Office will release the decedent's name.
