Bridge Fire Updates

Multiple evacuation orders and warnings have been issued (not in Palmdale) due to the #BridgeFire. The fire is rapidly spreading and is 0% contained at this time. Please continue to stay alert and be prepared at https://share.watchduty.org/i/33685. 

If evacuation orders occur for Palmdale or surrounding areas, the AV Fairgrounds is open as an evacuation center for people and ready to take in large animals.

  • SB County Fairgrounds - 14800 7th Street, Victorville
  • Jessie Turner Community Center - 15556 Summit Ave, Fontana
  • Pomona Fairplex Evacuation Shelter - 601 W McKinley Ave, Pomona
• Animal Shelters:
  • Antelope Valley Fairgrounds - 2551 W Avenue H, Lancaster. Accepting large animals.
  • Devore Animal Shelter - 19777 Shelter Way, San Bernardino. Accepting both large and small animals.
  • Palmdale Animal Care Center - 38550 Sierra Hwy, Palmdale. Accepting small animals.
  • Lancaster Animal Care Center - 5210 W. Ave. I, Lancaster. Accepting small animals.

  • San Gabriel Canyon and East Fork of the San Gabriel River
  • Highway 39
  • East Fork Road
  • Glendora Ridge Road
  • Glendora Mountain Road
  • Mt. Baldy Road at Shinn Road intersection
  • SR-2 closed from Big Pine to SR-138
  • SR-138 closed from Lone Pine to Beekley Road
