Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

Sept. 2 - 8, 2024

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area Sept. 2 - 8, 2024. Weather conditions may postpone scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures which could cause delays.

All Counties

Moving operations such as pothole patching, mowing, brush cutting, and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.

Boone County

Route WW - Ramp maintenance planned Sept. 3 - 4. The ramp from Route WW to southbound U.S. Route 63 will CLOSE daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

U.S. Route 63 - Resurfacing continues from Missouri Route 763 (Range Line Street) to Route B. One lane may be closed, weekdays and Saturdays. Hours of work will vary based on the location and type of work being conducted. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.

Missouri Routes 151, 22, and 124 intersection - Roundabout construction continues. Route 151 is CLOSED through Sept. 13. Routes 22 and 124 will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.

Interstate 70 - Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.

Route TT - Upgrades to pedestrian facilities planned on Broadway in the city of Columbia, between Route ZZ and Silvey Street. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.

Callaway County

Missouri Route 94/U.S. Route 63 - Bridge rehabilitation continues over U.S. Route 54. One lane of each overpass bridge will remain open. Westbound Route 94 to northbound U.S. Route 63 access is CLOSED at the overpass bridge and a signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

U.S. Route 63 - Ramp from northbound U.S. Route 63 to westbound U.S. Route 54 CLOSED for a bridge rehabilitation project through September 2024. A signed detour is in place.

U.S. Route 54 - Ramp from westbound U.S. Route 54 to eastbound Route 94 CLOSED for a bridge rehabilitation project through September 2024. A signed detour is in place.

Old Jefferson City Road - Intersection improvements continue at the U.S. Route 54 crossover in Fulton. The crossover is CLOSED, and a signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

The project is expected to continue through November 2024.

I-70 - New pavement construction continues from the Boone County line to Kingdom City (near mile marker 145) as part of the Improve I-70 Program. Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity

Camden County

Route BB - Resurfacing continues from Missouri Route 7 to Missouri Route 5 in Laclede County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

Cole County

Route V - Pothole patching planned Sept. 3 - 5 from Route C to Route A in Moniteau County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Boulevard - Ramp CLOSED from Business U.S. 50 (Missouri Boulevard) to eastbound U.S. Route 54 through mid-October. Motorist must use an alternate route.

U.S. Route 54 - Bridge rehabilitation continues over U.S. Route 50 and McCarty Street in Jefferson City. U.S. Route 54 will remain open but is narrowed to one lane in each direction between south of the Missouri River and Missouri Boulevard for up to 90 calendar days. Width restrictions are in place. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.

Route D - Bridge deck replacement continues over North Moreau Creek bridge. The road is CLOSED between Hunters Haven Drive and Knoll Road, and a signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.

Cooper County

Missouri Route 41 - Milling and resurfacing planned Sept. 3 - 10 from Arrow Rock Road to Missouri Route 135. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route B - Pothole patching planned Sept. 3 - 5 from Route J to U.S. Route 50 in Moniteau County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route K - Milling and resurfacing planned Sept. 3 - 10 from Route 41 to Outer Road I-70. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

I-70 - Bridge painting continues nightly at the Lamine River bridges near mile marker 93. One lane will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

I-70 - Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.

Crawford County

Missouri Route 8 - Pothole patching planned Sept. 3 - 5 from Meramec Farms Road to Missouri Route 68 in Phelps County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 19 - Pothole patching planned Sept. 3 - 5 from Edgar Road to Route VV in Phelps County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 49 - Roadside work and pothole patching planned Sept. 3 - 5 from Route 19 to the Iron County line. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Old Route 66 - Diamond grinding planned Sept. 3 - 5 from Route UU to Outer Road 44. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Frontage Road (North Outer Road) - Pothole patching planned Sept. 3 - 5 from Bourbon to Sullivan. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route E - Culvert replacement planned Sept. 3 - 5 from Route 8 to Mullen Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route Y - Culvert replacement planned Sept. 3 - 5 from Route 49 in Viburnum (Iron County) to Route V. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route 19 - Bridge rehabilitation continues at the I-44 overpass in Cuba. One lane will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

I-44 - Resurfacing continues from just west of Cuba to the Franklin County line. One lane will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024

Dent County

No work zones planned that are expected to impact traffic.

Gasconade County

Routes F and J - Seal coating planned Sept. 3 - 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.

Missouri Route 100 - Resurfacing continues from U.S. Route 50 in Osage County to Route N. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

Routes E, K, Z, W, and NN - Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

Routes KK and OO - Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.

Howard County

Missouri Route 129 - Culvert replacement planned Sept. 3 - 5 from Route T to Missouri Route 3. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Laclede County

Route AC - Pothole patching planned Sept. 3 - 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Routes BB, F, Y, YY - Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

Missouri Route 64 - Bridge replacement continues at the Goodwin Hollow Creek Bridge. The road is CLOSED to all traffic. A signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in.

Route B - Bridge deck replacement continues at the Osage Fork Bridge. The road is CLOSED to all traffic with a signed detour directing motorists around the closure. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.

Maries County

Missouri Route 133 - Roadside work planned Sept. 3 - 5 from Missouri Route 42 to Missouri Route 52. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Miller County

Route 42 - Pothole patching scheduled Sept. 3 - 5 from Route A to the city of Iberia. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 17 - Seal coating continues from Route 42 to the city of Waynesville. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

Moniteau County

Route B - Pothole patching planned Sept. 3 - 5 from Route J to U.S. Route 50 in Moniteau County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route V - Pothole patching planned Sept. 3 - 5 from Route A to Route C in Cole County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Morgan County

No work zones planned that are expected to impact traffic.

Osage County

Route 100 - Resurfacing continues from U.S. Route 50 to Route N in Gasconade County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

Route FF- Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

Routes DD, JJ, KK, NN and OO - Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.

Phelps County

Missouri Route 8 - Pothole patching planned Sept. 3 - 5 from Meramec Farms Road in Crawford County to Missouri Route 68. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route 68 - Culvert replacement planned Sept. 3 - 5 from Route V to Matlock Drive. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Dillion Outer Road (South Outer Road) - Pothole patching planned Sept. 3 - 5 from Route 68 to Route V. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

I-44 - Road resurfacing and reconstruction continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Route 68. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in late fall 2024.

Pulaski County

Route 17 - Seal coating continues from Route 42 to the city of Waynesville. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

Route Y - Resurfacing continues from Lemming Lane to Heller Lane in St. Robert. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

I-44 - Bridge maintenance continues at mile marker 160. Nightly lane closures are expected from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.

Business Loop 44 - Bridge rehabilitation continues over I-44 in St. Robert. Business Loop 44 is open but narrowed to one lane in each direction in a head-to-head configuration. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.

Washington County

Missouri Route 185 - Pothole patching planned Sept. 3 - 5 from Route AA to Route A. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 47 - Bridge rehabilitation continues over Mineral Fork Creek. Traffic will narrow to one lane with temporary signals in place. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.
