MPD Arrests Man for Northwest Robbery

The Metropolitan Police Department announces an arrest has been made in a robbery (snatch) that occurred in Northwest.

On Saturday, August 31, 2024, at approximately 2:25 a.m., officers were flagged down in the 1900 block of 8th Street, Northwest. The victim stated that the suspect approached him and took his property. The suspect then demanded that the victim withdraw money from an ATM in exchange for the stolen property The suspect then fled with the victim's property. The victim was not injured.

On Monday, September 9, 2024, 39-year-old Isaiah Jackson, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Robbery (Snatch).
