IHSA Distinguished Media Service Award Presentation: Shelby Burget

Shelby Burget has covered high school sports across Illinois for nearly 40 years, while making an indelible impact with his coverage in Western Illinois.

Shelby was honored with the IHSA Distinguished Media Service Award on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Macomb High School prior the Bombers facing Farmington High School in boys basketball.

Surrounded by family, friends, colleagues, and school personnel, Shelby received his IHSA plaque from Macomb High School administrators and then addressed the crowd.
