Residents and businesses can play a critical role in helping to tackle crime in borough.

Providing information about potential criminal activity can help to remove serious offenders from our streets and ultimately make our communities safer.

However small or unimportant you think your information is, please share it as it really could help.

How can I share information anonymously?

Information can be shared anonymously via Crimestoppers. Crimestoppers is an independent charity that allows people to pass on what they know, online or over the phone completely anonymously.

Last year on Merseyside, Crimestoppers received more than 9,500 pieces of information about crime - a record amount which led to arrests, seizures of weapons and drugs, and vulnerable people safeguarded.

You can pass information online here: Give information 100% anonymously about organised crime in Merseyside | Crimestoppers (crimestoppers-uk.org)

You can call Crimestoppers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week completely free of charge on 0800 555 111.

Computer IP addresses are never traced and for phone calls, there's no caller line display, no 1471 facility so however you share information, it can't be traced back to you.

Remember, in an emergency, or if you see a crime taking place, call the police on 999 or 101.

If you have concerns where you live you can also contact Knowsley's Crime and Communities team on [email protected]
