WASHINGTON, D.C., November 19, 2024 - The Interstate Natural GasAssociation of America (INGAA), a trade association representing the vast majority of the interstate natural gas transmission pipelinecompanies in the U.S. and Canada, published its 2024 Climate Report, which shows year-over-year progress in reducing methane emissions and improving methane intensity from the membership.
The 2024 Climate Report, which analyzes member data from 2022, shows reductions in both total methane and methane intensity by the INGAA membership, and highlights notable improvements in achieving INGAA's GHG Emissions Commitments.
"This year's Climate Report highlights our members' commitment to addressing their methane emissions, and shows those efforts are working," said Amy Andryszak, INGAA President & CEO. "The improvements highlighted in this report demonstrate the work INGAA members have undertaken for years to reduce methane emissions from their operations, demonstrating their ability to lower emissions while also delivering affordable, clean energysafely and reliably to the homes and businesses that rely on it."
