TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Single Lane Closure on Alvar Bridge for Streetlight Repairs

NEW ORLEANS - The City of New Orleans today announced that starting Wednesday, Aug. 14, at approximately 7 a.m., the Department of Public Works (DPW) will close the left travel lane in the southbound direction on the Alvar Bridge. This closure is part of ongoing streetlight repairs managed by DPW.

The closure will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. During this time, appropriate signage will be in place to direct motorists safely through the area.

These repairs, conducted by DPW contractor All Star Electric, are part of the City's effort to improve street lighting. The City is dedicated to completing these essential repairs. For more details, please refer to the attached map.
