Coyote Point Recreation Area Closures

August 13, 2024

Beach Center Restroom & Showers Closed Until Further Notice

At the Beach Center on the Promenade side of the park, the restroom and showers are currently closed while repairs are made to sewer lines.

Eucalyptus Trails Closed

Eucalyptus trails below the Captain's House in the Knoll Area remain closed due to damages from the winter 2024 storms.

Eucalyptus Playground Decommissioned

The Eucalyptus Playground at Coyote Point has been decommissioned due to age of equipment and unavailability of replacement parts. There are no immediate plans to install new play equipment.

Closure on Bluff Trail

A portion of the Bluff Trail that has been closed for 18 months following a landslide that occurred during the winter storms in 2023 could be repaired soon pending review by the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC). The damage has been included in FEMA's disaster declaration which makes it eligible for emergency funding. Once permits are granted by BCDC, repairs are expected to begin in September with work completed in October.
