Close to 90 Students Recognised for Their Creativity and Oral Skills at 3rd National Vlog Competition

Close to 90 students were recognised for their creativity and oral expression skills at the 3rd National Vlog Competition for Primary School Students ("我们是小网红"全国小学生短视频制作比赛). Guest-of-Honour Ms Gan Siow Huang, Minister of State for Education and Chairperson of the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL), delivered a speech and presented awards to the winning teams at the Awards Ceremony.

2.Jointly organised by the CPCLL and the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL), the competition aims to enhance the oral expression skills of primary school students, and encourage them to develop a spirit of collaboration and a love for the Chinese Language. Student participants are required to form groups of up to five members to produce a three-minute video on the competition's theme, "Our School Life" ("我们的校园生活").

3.The competition received enthusiastic responses from 315 participants across 42 schools. Anglo-Chinese School (Primary) students' entry《我的校园生活之我的世界》clinched first place for its creative portrayal of two students exchanging their school life experiences through Minecraft, while Corporation Primary School students' winning entry 《学乐无穷的校园穿越之旅》showcased how school life in Singapore has evolved over the decades by time travelling to the past.
