On Tuesday, July 16, 2024, just after 6:00 a.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the 1300 Block of North C Street for initial reports of a fight. Responding officers located an adult female on scene with at least one puncture wound. Sacramento Fire Department personnel attempted life-saving measures, however those efforts were not successful and the victim was pronounced deceased on scene by fire personnel.
