07/17/2024

York, Pennsylvania -- The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources State Parks Director John Hallas today announced a public information meeting to unveil the final conceptual ecological restoration and site improvement considerations for Susquehanna Riverlands State Park.

At the meeting, an overview of the master planning process and the final design concepts for Susquehanna Riverlands State Park will be presented.

Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity for attendees to interact with Department staff in smaller group settings.

The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 31, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., at the Eastern York High School Auditorium, 720 Cool Creek Road, Wrightsville, PA 17368.

Prior to organizing the July public information meeting, the Department presented the preliminary design concepts at a February public information meeting and gathered feedback from the public, held meetings with resource and cultural stakeholders, and conducted a public survey to gain feedback about what to consider as part of a master plan for both land conservation and stewardship efforts, as well as recreational opportunities and amenities within Susquehanna Riverlands State Park.
