SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Sanford Health leaders will join CEOs, CFOs and physician leaders from top hospitals and health systems across the country this week in Chicago for an exclusive event focused on the best strategies to shape the future of health care. This year's roundtable will focus on rural health care, digital transformation and health equity.

Heather Spies, M.D., women's health provider and physician director, Nick Olson, executive vice president and chief financial officer and Daniel Hoody, M.D., chief physician at Sanford Health Bemidji, are featured panelists at the annual Becker's CEO + CFO Roundtable.

Dr. Spies has been invited to join a panel entitled, Creating Joy in Medicine in Rural Integrated Health Systems. She'll be joined by Makrina Shanbour, M.D., director of provider experience at Confluence Health.

Nick Olson will take part in a panel moderated by Scott Becker, JD, founder and chief content officer at Becker's Healthcare entitled, Financial Resilience in Healthcare: CFO Strategies for Turbulent Times. He will be joined by Randolph Siwabessy, Chief Financial Officer, UCI Health, Doug Watson, executive vice president and chief financial officer, Allina Health, Jessica Behmer, senior vice president and chief financial officer, AdventHealth Orlando and Marschall S. Runge, MD, PhD, chief executive officer, Michigan Medicine; executive vice president, medical affairs, University of Michigan.

Dr. Hoody is taking part in a panel entitled, Elevating Patient Outcomes: CMOs on Clinical Quality and Safety. The panel is moderated by Erica Carbajal, editor at Becker's Healthcare. He will be joined by Vinay Bhooma, MD, FACHE, MBA, president and regional chief medical officer, SSM Health, Elizabeth Brill, MD, MBA, FACOG, deputy chief medical officer, veterans health administration, Peggy Duggan, MD, executive vice president and chief medical officer, Tampa General Hospital and Ryan Jennings, MD, chief medical officer, HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital.

Some of the celebrity keynote speakers at the roundtable include, President George W. Bush, Drew Brees and Emmit Smith.
