Groundbreaking for Festival Park

The City of Cape Coral invites the public to a groundbreaking ceremony for Festival Park on Friday, July 26, at 9 a.m.

The ceremony will be held at 1100 Wilmington Parkway, and no reservation is required to attend.

Festival Park will provide Cape Coral with festival grounds for large events, an outdoor concert venue, and sports fields. Other amenities will include a concessions and restroom building, multi-use sports fields with lighting, a grass berm for seating, and electrical infrastructure for a future amphitheater.

In 2018, Cape Coral voters approved a $60 million expansion of the City's parks and recreation amenities. The approved 15-year general obligation bond will fund major parks and recreation improvements throughout the City.
