Spajić in Bahrain: First Memorandum of Cooperation signed between Montenegro and the Kingdom of Bahrain

Prime Minister Milojko Spajić is paying a working visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, marking the first visit since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. During the visit, the first Memorandum of Cooperation between Montenegro and Bahrain was signed.

Prime Minister Spajić and the Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Deputy Chairman of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), H.E. Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, signed the memorandum in Tamkeen's headquarters in Manama. The memorandum focuses on cooperation in the fields of science, innovation, and technology.

This memorandum is the first of its kind and outlines the future development paths of cooperation between the two countries, aligning with the interests, defined plans, and vision of Montenegro for the coming period.

Following the signing ceremony, Prime Minister Spajić also met with Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), which serves as a think-tank aimed at promoting and attracting foreign direct investments.

The EDB representatives informed the Prime Minister about their activities related to economic development and presented their results in diversifying economic activities.

In this context, the EDB emphasised the importance of attracting talented foreign professionals through incentive measures related to housing, education, and health and social protection.

The success and growth of the economy, according to the EDB, strongly rely on competitive business costs, a supportive business environment, digitalization, and the strengthening of public services.

During the meeting, it was noted that to achieve the best results, it is crucial to enable the quick and efficient establishment of companies through direct contact and the building of trust between institutions and investors.

Sustainable economic growth goes hand in hand with building lifelong friendships between the state and the economy, as agreed by the meeting participants.

The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, and the Minister of Sustainable Development, Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif.
