Three SRU students place fourth in National Student Production Awards

Three Slippery Rock University students placed fourth in the Best Documentary category of the National Student Production Awards, hosted by College Broadcasters, Inc.

Ariana Mixter, a 2024 SRU graduate with a degree in strategic communication and media major; Sol McCormick, a senior strategic communication and media major from Uniontown; and Dustin Schlagel, a junior strategic communication and media major from Cabot, were honored for their documentary titled "Our Campus Mockumentary."

The National Student Production Awards recognize student-produced work in various categories, including documentaries, with a focus on content dealing with social issues, investigations and historical retrospectives. CBI is a member-driven organization serving students and advisers of student media with events and programming that fosters experiential learning, professional opportunities and advocacy for the success of student media programs.
