On August 15, 2024, State Police of Queensbury arrested Darren V. Alvaro, 47, of Brant Lake, NY, for Unlawful Dissemination of Publication of an Intimate Image.

On August 16, 2024, Alvaro was also arrested for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated.

On August 14, 2024, at about 7:46 p.m., Troopers received a complaint from a Saratoga County resident. The investigation determined Alvaro allegedly distributed intimate images of the victim without their knowledge or permission. Alvaro was arrested On August 15, 2024, but could not be processed at SP Queensbury due to a medical issue.

The following day, Alvaro arrived at SP Chestertown to be processed on the original charge. Troopers witnessed Alvaro drive his vehicle into the barracks parking lot and observed signs of impairment while being taken into custody. As a result, he was arrested for the additional charge of Driving While Intoxicated. He was processed for both arrests at SP Chestertown, where he recorded a 0.26% BAC. Alvaro was issued appearance tickets returnable to the courts at a later date and released to a sober third party.
