PLASKETT EXPRESSES GRATITUDE TO VIRGIN ISLANDERS FOR SIXTH TERM WIN AS DELEGATE TO CONGRESS
St. Croix, USVI - On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Congresswoman Stacey E. Plaskett secured an overwhelming victory over two opponents in her district and will now serve her 6th term as the Virgin Islands' Delegate to Congress.
Congresswoman Plaskett shared, " I first want to say thank you to the people of the Virgin Islands for re-electing me as your Delegate to Congress. I am deeply grateful and humbled to have earned your trust once again as your representative. Your vote has shown me that through the noise you looked at action, not words and have found the work and resources that my office has brought home as worthy of two more years.
"From the beginning, I promised to work tirelessly for each and every one of you and for our home. I am proud of what we have achieved together; funding for the rebuild of our islands, resources for farmers and business owners; and real movement toward greater equitable treatment of the Virgin Islands.
"Ten years ago, we started on this path with a purpose and have accomplished so much already, but we have just gotten started. I have shown that I can get the job done and I am dedicated to working for what each of us as Virgin Islanders are supposed to have. There is still so much more to do, and I promise to fight hard for the resources, opportunities and the respect that the Virgin Islands deserve. Thank you for believing in me. Together, we will continue making our Virgin Islands stronger and more resilient than ever."
