Residents put their questions to Thurrock Council's top team on Monday 11 November at a special 'Ask the council!' public question time.
The special event which is the first in a series of public question times to be held over the winter, saw residents from across the borough come together for a lively discussion about the council's plans and the issues and concerns that matter most to them.
The panel was made up of the council's cabinet members and the senior officer team including the Chief Executive, Dr Dave Smith.
Cllr John Kent, Leader of Thurrock Council said: "It was great to see so many people turn out on a cold Monday evening in November and to hold us to account with some excellent questions about what the council is doing. There were lots of great questions, covering everything from litter to the Tilbury Ferry, Special Educational Needs support and what we're doing to put the finances back on track, to rebuild trust and protect front line services. We'll publish all the answers online very soon.
"We'll certainly be holding more 'Ask the council!' question time events in the coming months in different locations across the borough. I hope as many people as possible can take part, come along and ask us about the issues that matter most to them."
Notification of future events will be available on our website and in our residents newsletter which you can sign up for here: https://public.govdelivery.com/accounts/UKTHURROCK/subscriber/new
