Plattsburgh male arrested for multiple CPW charges

On August 28, 2024, State Police members arrested Adam W. Martineau, age 35, of Plattsburgh, NY, for criminal possession of a firearm (1 count), Criminal possession of a weapon 3rd (3 counts), and criminal possession of a weapon 4th (8 counts).

On August 28, 2024, at approximately 9:19 p.m., Troopers responded to Blake Road in the town of Peru for a welfare check. An investigation determined Martineau and the victim were involved in a verbal argument, causing the victim to leave the residence. The victim was concerned after leaving due to the victim's child still being present in the residence. The Troopers responded to the residence for a welfare check on the child and observed the child in good health. Troopers left the residence. Troopers received a call back regarding another incident at Blake Road involving weapons. Further investigation determined Martineau is a convicted felon and was in possession of multiple firearms, which he is not allowed to possess.

Martineau was arrested and transported to SP Plattsburgh for processing. He was arraigned in the Town of Peru Court, where he was released on his own recognizance.
