On June 25, 2024, New York State Police at Oneonta responded to a report of a domestic dispute at an address on County Highway 47 in the town of Oneonta.

An investigation at the scene revealed that Timothy L. White, age 37 of Oneonta, NY was in possession of long guns and a victim was fearful of White's past actions that could lead to further harm.

While issuing an Extreme Risk Protection Order (TERPO), Troopers observed numerous firearms and narcotics related items which further resulted in a search warrant of White's residence. The search warrant led to the discovery and seizure of the following items:
• Approximately seven ounces of methamphetamine
• Approximately one gram of heroin
• Several small blue pills
• A chocolate bar believed to contain psilocybin mushrooms
• Narcotics related digital scale
• Narcotics packaging material
• A gun with a defaced serial number
• Two rifles with defaced serial numbers

White was arrested and charged with:
• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the second degree, a class "A2" felony
• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, a class "B" felony
• Three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the third degree, a class "D" felony

White was arraigned at the Otsego County Jail Centralized Arraignment where he was remanded on $50,000 cash or $100,000 property bond.
