Azerbaijan Army holds events on the occasion of Fuzuli City Day

Under to the instruction of the Minister of Defense, a series of events on the occasion of Fuzuli City Day were held on October 17 in types of troops, army corps, formations and special educational institutions of the Azerbaijan Army.
The events were attended by military personnel, public representatives and war veterans.
The events commenced with commemorating the bright memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Shehids, who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
The speakers noted the historical significance of the Victory in the Patriotic War, which was launched in response to the large-scale provocations of the Armenian armed forces, about the solidarity of the Azerbaijani people for the liberation of the lands, the close union of an iron fist and the state. They highlighted the strategic role of the liberation of the city of Fuzuli and its other settlements.
It was emphasized that thanks to the Victory, today the State Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan flies proudly in all the territories where the sovereignty is established, including the city of Fuzuli.
The combatants expressed their gratitude to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief for the high value given to their services.
It was noted that according to the relevant Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, October 17, when the city was liberated from occupation, is solemnly celebrated as Fuzuli City Day.
Within the events, the personnel of the Azerbaijan Army visited the graves of the Martyrs, laid flowers and commemorated their bright memories with reverence.
Cultural and mass events on patriotism were presented to the personnel, videos dedicated to the Victory in the Patriotic War were shown.
