Meeting with the Head of the Representative Office of the International Organization for Migration

On October 25 of this year, Gulbahor Naziri, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, met with Viktor Lutenko, Head of the Representative Office of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in the Republic of Tajikistan. They discussed the current state and prospects for developing cooperation.

Gulbahor Naziri expressed satisfaction with the fruitful cooperation between the International Organization for Migration and the National Bank of Tajikistan. She appreciated the organization's contribution to improving the financial literacy of the population and implementing the National Financial Inclusion Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2022-2026 through seminars and trainings.

It was noted that the National Bank of Tajikistan is also taking all necessary measures to implement the Strategy plan for regulating migration processes in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2023-2025. This is being done to improve the quality of various banking services, particularly by expanding opportunities and improving conditions for migrants and their families.

In turn, the Head of the IOM Representative Office expressed the organization's readiness to further strengthen and expand relations. He noted that proposals for new projects aimed at protecting the rights of consumers of financial services and improving the financial literacy of the population would be studied.
