Fall into Fun with Arroyo Grande Recreation Services' Fall Events!

ARROYO GRANDE, CA- The City of Arroyo Grande Recreation Services Department invites you to enjoy a full lineup of family-friendly fall activities and events! Whether you're a music lover, movie enthusiast, or an eager participant in seasonal traditions, there's something for everyone.

Adult Sports Fall Season - Kicking Off September 8

Adult Softball and Basketball leagues are back this fall! Games begin September 8 for softball at Soto Sports Complex, and basketball runs from September 17 through November 22 at the Oceano Community Center. Join the fun or cheer from the sidelines as teams compete throughout the season.

Summer Concert Series - September Sundays

The beloved Summer Concert Series is still in full swing, offering FREE live music every Sunday from September 1 through September 22, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Heritage Square Park, located at 201 Nelson St. Join us at the beautiful Rotary Bandstand and enjoy an afternoon of local talent, delicious food, and community spirit.

Harvest Festival Movie Night - Friday, September 27

Mark your calendars for an unforgettable evening under the stars at Heritage Square Park! Enjoy a special screening of the hit movie *IF* on Friday, September 27, at 7:30 p.m. Admission is FREE. Bring blankets and low-back chairs to get cozy. Food vendors will offer meals and snacks starting at 4:00 p.m., so arrive early and enjoy a family-friendly night of fun and film.

Diaper Derby at the Harvest Festival - Saturday, September 28

Ready, set, crawl! The popular Diaper Derby returns during the Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 28, at noon at the Heritage Bandstand Gazebo. This FREE event invites little ones aged 6-36 months to compete for prizes. Register online or on-site starting at 11:30 a.m. Don't miss out on this charming race!

Halloween Carnival and Carnival Chaos Maze - October 26 & 27

Celebrate Halloween with us at Elm Street Park on Saturday, October 26, and Sunday, October 27, from 3:00-9:00 p.m. Admission is FREE, with activities including costume contests, trick-or-treating, carnival games, food trucks, and more! For an extra thrill, try the Carnival Chaos Maze and bounce through Bounce Town, with tickets available for additional fun. Get ready for a weekend full of spooktacular surprises!

47th Annual Turkey Trot Fun Run - Sunday, November 17

Calling all young runners! The annual Turkey Trot Fun Run returns to the Arroyo Grande High School Track on Sunday, November 17. Open to children from preschool through 8th grade, this fun event costs just $5 and includes a t-shirt and ribbon. Prizes include frozen turkeys, chickens, and game hens for the top finishers. Registration is available online or on-site on race day. Don't miss this treasured tradition!
