Ramp from Missouri Boulevard to eastbound U.S. Route 54 now closed…

Alternate route: U.S. Route 50/63 north to eastbound U.S. Route 54

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - With an abundance of caution for the safety of the traveling public, the ramp from Business U.S. 50 (Missouri Boulevard) to eastbound U.S. Route 54 is now closed. Motorists should use northbound U.S. Route 50/63 (Whitton Expressway) to access eastbound U.S. Route 54 during the ramp closure, which could remain in place through mid-October.

"With the current traffic patterns for the rehabilitation of the overpasses over Route 50 and McCarty Street, there have been some concerns with ramp traffic merging with Route 54 traffic," said Resident Engineer Chris Brownell. "We tried to leave it open for the convenience of the daily commuters, but we have had several concerns from citizens about the merge point. We added extra signs and after closely monitoring it, have decided it's best to close the ramp for everyone's safety."
