Statement from Trust for Public Land on the San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority Providing $25 Million in Grant Funding for Future Conservation Efforts

San Francisco, CA - Today, the San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority announced grant funding for future Trust for Public Land efforts to restore and conserve portions of the San Francisco Bay shoreline.

Statement from Trust for Public Land's Vice President Pacific Region, California State Director, Guillermo Rodriguez:

"Trust for Public Land is honored to receive support from the San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority and extends our gratitude to their board for this vote of confidence in one of the largest remaining conservation opportunities along the San Francisco Bay shoreline.

While the project is still in its early stages, this investment demonstrates how agencies like SFBRA can help shape the future of conservation by addressing critical issues like water quality protection and climate resilience to foster healthier communities for generations to come. If successful, this transformative project will restore critical wetland ecosystems, create natural buffers that protect communities from climate impacts, and reunite Newark and Fremont with their shoreline-providing new opportunities for public access and connecting more Californians with nature."
