Homicide Detectives Conducting Delayed Death Investigation in North Seattle

Seattle Police Homicide Detectives are conducting a delayed death investigation in North Seattle.

On June 24th, 2024, patrol officers responded to reports of a car prowl involving a male suspect potentially armed with a knife in a parking garage in the 6900 block of East Greenlake Way North.

The responding officers found this male unconscious and began rendering emergency medical aid. The Seattle Fire Department arrived on scene and continued medial aid. The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.

While investigating, officers determined the owner of the vehicle interrupted the car prowl and confronted the male, and they got into a physical altercation.

During the altercation, the man fell unconscious, and the vehicle owner separated from him. The witness called 911. The vehicle owner remained on scene, and he cooperated with the police. No arrests have been made at this time.

On June 28th, the 35-year-old male was pronounced deceased.

Homicide Detectives have been assigned to this case.
