The Virginia Commonwealth University Police Department will conduct an administrative checkpoint in downtown Richmond this Friday evening, Sept. 13. Officers will check driver's licenses and motor vehicle registrations on the university's Monroe Park Campus.

The checkpoint will operate from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. in the 700 block of West Main Street.

Law enforcement officers from the Richmond Police Department and Virginia State Police will assist. The checkpoint is funded by a grant through the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.
