Become an Extended Day/Extending Year Staffer and Help Shape the Future!

Are you passionate about making a lasting impact on the lives of children and families?

Join Mayor Cherelle L. Parker's Extended Day/Extended Year (EDEY) program by becoming an Out of School Time (OST) Staffer and helping support Philadelphia's youth.

About the Extended Day/Extended Year Program

The EDEY program will support working families and help create safe and enriching environments for school-aged children. The program will allow students to explore their interests, develop their passions, and accelerate their academic success by keeping them engaged in school.

Why You Should Apply

As an OST staff member at a Provider agency, you will engage directly with students in K through 8th grade. Your role will include supervising groups of enthusiastic children, leading enriching activities, and offering valuable mentorship. This is not just a job; it is a chance to spark a child's passion, help them discover their voice, and guide them as they plan for their future!

Flexible Shifts to Fit Your Schedule

Whether you are seeking a part-time role or a full-time position, we have a range of shifts and opportunities available:

  • Before School Care: 7 a.m. - 9 a.m.
  • After-School Hours: 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Full-Time: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Why Your Role Matters

Research shows that high-quality out-of-school programs enhance a child's academic performance, boost school attendance, and improve social-emotional skills. By joining our team, you will help students achieve better grades, stay engaged in school, and increase their chances of graduating.

Don't miss out on this rewarding opportunity to make a difference in your community and be part of the change. Opportunities are updated regularly.
