Palm Beach County Youth Services Department and the Birth to 22 United for Brighter Futures alliance proudly partner with the new Alyssa Sangeeta Jacobson Foundation, Inc., to provide two annual scholarships committed to the Future Leaders United for Change youth council.

Launched on October 17, 2024, the Alyssa Sangeeta Jacobson Foundation is in memory of its namesake, who was committed to living a self-sufficient life and discovering her passions. Prior to the creation of the foundation, the Alyssa Sangeeta Jacobson Scholarship had been awarded annually since 2020. The scholarship has been awarded to 11 recipients, providing each recipient $2,000 each year for up to four years.

With the creation of the Alyssa Sangeeta Jacobson Foundation, two members of the Birth to 22 Future Leaders United for Change youth council will be identified annually to receive scholarships for postsecondary, graduate and/or vocational education.

The creation of the Alyssa Sangeeta Jacobson Foundation is being announced on Alyssa's birthdate in honor of her determination and kind-spirited manner. Alyssa earned undergraduate and graduate degrees, and was grateful for the support she received in her life. The scholarship is dedicated to those who may need a little extra assistance in achieving education goals, because Alyssa hoped others could have support to achieve their goals.

The Birth to 22 Future Leaders United for Change is a countywide youth council created in response to Palm Beach County's call to have the voice of the communities' young people distinctively heard as the county and partners assess their needs and implement programs and services that will influence the youth.

Formerly administered by Friends of Youth Services & Palm Beach County, Inc., the scholarship now will be administered by Alyssa Sangeeta Jacobson Foundation, Inc. Information about the Foundation is available at www.AlyssaSangeetaJacobsonFoundation.org [alyssasangeetajacobsonfoundation.org] and [email protected].
