GET UP AND GET MOVING: NYC PARKS CELEBRATES THE FIRST-EVER FITNESS EXPO

Free fitness demos and classes included spin, circuit training, MMA conditioning, and more, all designed for individuals ages 18 and up

Today, NYC Parks celebrated its first-ever Fitness Expo. The free event, held at Highbridge Recreation Center in Manhattan, offered a fun-filled day with 30 diverse fitness demos and classes, ranging from high-energy spin sessions to dynamic circuit training.

"At NYC Parks, we believe fitness is key to building a stronger, healthier community. Today's first-ever free Fitness Expo exemplifies our commitment to offering diverse, accessible fitness opportunities for everyone, said NYC Parks Commissioner Sue Donoghue. "From high-energy spin sessions to dynamic circuit training, we aimed to provide an inclusive and engaging experience for all, ensuring that fitness is both fun and accessible to all New Yorkers."

Check-in for the event began at 8:45 a.m., so attendees were encouraged to arrive early to make the most of the free NYC Parks Fitness Expo. Participants reserved their spots and selected their favorite classes ahead of time. The event was open to everyone age 18 and up and included accessibility options.
