Solano County, community partners, host regional consortium meeting to discuss and address digital equity

SOLANO COUNTY - The public is invited to join Solano Connected on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, starting at 9 a.m., at their regional consortium meeting, located at the Solano County Events Center, 601 Texas Street in Fairfield, where they will bring together local governments, community organizations and internet service providers to address ways to advance digital equity in Solano County.

The meeting will feature Scott Adams, Deputy Director of the California Department of Technology, who will share updates on the County's efforts in applying for the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) digital equity competitive grant fund program. Partner agencies, including the Tech Exchange of Oakland, Community Tech Network, and Meals on Wheels Solano County, will all share their experiences in addressing digital equity. Additionally, major internet service providers, including Comcast, AT&T, T-Mobile, Cal.net, and Valley Internet will present their commitment to supporting digital inclusion initiatives.
