Bolton, MS- Congressman Bennie G. Thompson is pleased to announce that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will be awarding a significant grant to Washington County Opportunities, Inc., located within Mississippi's 2nd Congressional District. The grant, totaling $8,998,081, will support the Head Start program, which is crucial in providing early childhood education, health, and nutrition services to low-income children and their families.
The grant is designated under the program title "CH - Head Start Projects" and represents a substantial investment in the future of the children in Washington County.
