State Police arrest Queensbury woman for extorting more than $3,0...

Press Release

On August 23, 2024, State Police of Greenwich arrested Teesha M. Bapp, 35, of Queensbury, NY, for Grand Larceny in the third degree.

On July 16, 2024, at about 6:00 p.m., Troopers received a complaint from a Washington County resident that they were being extorted. The investigation determined that Bapp allegedly threatened that she would (falsely) report the victim had sexually assaulted her unless they paid her the requested amount of money. Bapp's threats resulted in the theft of more than $3,000 from the victim by means of extortion during June and July 2024.

Bapp was arrested and processed at SP Queensbury. She was then arraigned at the Washington County Centralized Arraignment Part Court and released on her own recognizance.
