State Police in Troop G make notable DWI arrests 7/26- 8/12

On July 26, 2024, at about 2:34 a.m. State Police of Clifton Park stopped a vehicle on State Route 9 in Clifton Park, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Gregory Mcleod, 35, of Kissimmee, FL. Mcleod was arrested for Driving While intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Clifton Park for processing, where he recorded a 0.19% BAC. Mcleod was issued tickets returnable to the Clifton Park Town Court on August 1, 2024, and released to a sober third party.

On August 2, 2024, at about 3:38 a.m. State Police of Wilton stopped a vehicle on I-87 in Moreau, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Tress A. Murray, 23 of Hudson Falls, NY. Murray was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Wilton for processing where she recorded a 0.11% BAC. Further investigation discovered the Murray has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. She was issued tickets returnable to the Moreau Town Court on August 28, 2024, and released to a sober third party.

On August 2, 2024, at about 7:01 p.m., State Police of Schodack responded to the reports of a car colliding with a sign in the area of Taborton Road in Berlin, NY. The driver was identified as Maximilian D. Keator, 23, of Lenox, MA, and he was determined to be uninjured. Keator was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Sand Lake for processing, where he recorded a 0.18% BAC. Keator was issued tickets returnable to the Berlin Town Court on August 21, 2024, and released to a sober third party.

On August 2, 2024, at about 7:47 p.m., State Police of Chestertown responded to a gas station on State Route 9 in Lake George, NY, for the report of an unresponsive driver of a running vehicle. The driver was identified as Elizabeth A. Krebs, 68, of Chestertown, NY. Krebs was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, at which time she resisted and was also charged with Resisting Arrest. She was transported to SP Chestertown for processing, where she refused to provide a sample to determine the alcohol content of her blood. Further investigation discovered that Krebs has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. She was transported to the Warren County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.

On August 3, 2024, at about 3:37 a.m. State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol responded to the reports of a single-car crash in the area of State Route 32 in Menands, NY. The driver was identified as Zachary N. Safford, 27, of Troy, NY. Safford was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Latham for processing, where he recorded a 0.21% BAC. Safford was issued tickets returnable to the Menands Village Court on August 27, 2024, and released to a sober third party.

On August 5, 2024, at about 7:48 p.m., State Police of Wilton responded to the reports of a one-car rollover crash on Lake Desolation Road in Greenfield, NY. The driver was identified as Clinton H. Waddell, 42, of Middle Grove, NY. Waddell, who was uninjured, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Wilton for processing, where he recorded a 0.14% BAC. Further investigation discovered Waddell has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. He was issued tickets returnable to the Greenfield Town Court on August 21, 2024, and released to a sober third party.

On August 5, 2024, at about 9:18 p.m., State Police of Chestertown stopped a vehicle on Main Street in Warrensburg, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Christopher M. Parsels, 44, of Chestertown, NY. Two children under the age of 16 were also located in the vehicle. Parsels was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated with a Child (Leandra's Law) and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. The children were turned over to a family member. Parsels was transported to SP Chestertown for processing, where he refused to provide a sample to determine the alcohol content of his blood. Further investigation discovered that Parsels did not have a valid Driver's License due to a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. He was issued tickets returnable to the Warrensburg Town Court on August 14, 2024, and released.

On August 6, 2024, at about 11:30 p.m., State Police of Saratoga stopped a vehicle on May Apple Way in Malta, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law Violation. The driver was identified as Jane M. Lang, 64, of Saratoga Springs, NY. Lang was arrested for Driving While intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Saratoga for processing, where she recorded a 0.21% BAC. Lang was issued tickets returnable to the Malta Town Court on September 12, 2024, and released to a sober third party.
